While we’ve seen Nick’s demonstration to our club via Zoom, now you can work with him in
person! Now living in the United States, Nick Agar, has a new teaching studio near Savannah
Georgia. Nick has great understanding of the medium after more than 30 years experience.
Choosing maples for decorative works or burrs and intriguing or figured timber for sculptures
or natural edged works Nick is a master at exposing natures treasures that hide beneath the
bark. Nick is renowned for his Viking sunset bowls and wall sculptures in particular. His awardwinning work often incorporates carving, airbrushing ceramic and metal effects.
During this demonstration you will try Nick’s techniques while working on your own projects.
Nick will be providing the wood for the demonstration. A variety of tools will be used. You are
encouraged to bring as many on the list as you have, but do not purchase tools for this class.
Tools will be available to borrow.
