The blanks for these boxes came from a neighbor's dead oak tree. They were both soaked in blue-dyed cactus juice for an hour, then baked. The blank for the box on the left then went into a vacuum chamber for the full stabilization process. The turning characteristics for both boxes were very similar. The major difference in processing was that the box on the right drank up more wipe-on poly than the fully stabilized box.
