Turn-On Chicago 2020 has been cancelled

James Smith | Published on 4/8/2020
After careful consideration and discussion, the TOC committee has determined that it is selfish and unwise to put our fellow woodturners at risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus. The state of Illinois is currently under a Federal Disaster Declaration. The Governor has ordered a general stay at home order until at least May 1st. It is for this reason the Turn-On! Chicago 2020 has been cancelled. Refunds will be processed over the next few weeks. If you have hotel reservations, we urge you to cancel them now. Our committee and club are saddened to have to make this decision, but the health of our members, demonstrators, attendees, vendors, and guests is more important going forward. Please accept our sincere apology for this decision, and stay tuned for a bigger and better Turn-On! Chicago 2022.
