Decided to start finishing some of the roughed out bowls that I have collected. This series of ash blanks have been drying in paper bags for two and a half years with virtually no cracking. I used a variety of rim designs but included a thumb catch on the inside of the bowl and kept the wall thickness between 1/4 and 3/8 inch. I used "Tried And True" finish which is a linseed oil/bees wax finish that goes on very easy and results in a very usable bowl.
